The biggest town of the Croatian coast, with 220000 citizens, 70km far from Podgora. As every other bigger town, the Split is full of cars, so the parking is better if you leave your car at the suburbs or at the parking lots by the harbor. The main sightseeing attraction is magnificent Diocletian palace, part of the UNESCO heritage. The large complex is worth seeing once you visit the town. From the harbor you can get by ferry to most islands of Dalmatia. There are many shopping centers in the suburbs of the town. One of the biggest is shopping center called Mercator.
